Ski Resorts

We shall soon be providing detailed information about ski resorts worldwide. This will be supported by search facilities to find your ideal resort(s), whether you're interested in, say, resorts in the Alps with an superb scenery, good beginners slopes and fine restaurants, or whether your tastes lean more towards steep and scary slopes and reliable snow. You will also be able to make a list of your favourite resorts to come back to later, or to use as the basis for your holiday search.

Tour Operators

We are building a comprehensive database of UK tour operators and ski companies, also with dedicated search facilities so you can find who goes to your preferred resort(s) in the style to which you are accustomed, whether it be a budget chalet or a luxury hotel suite.

Holiday search and online booking

We are discussing with tour operators and travel agents how best to provide the facility to search for and book your holiday online, including the posting of last minute deals. You will be able check availability, making use of our resort and tour operator pages to you find suitable holidays as quickly as possible.

Other developments

Apart from the resort, tour operator and holiday booking services, here are some other ideas we are working on, and hope to bring you for the 1999-2000 season.

Articles covering all aspects of winter sports and mountains, written by professionals (and suitably enthusiastic and credible amateurs) in their respective fields.

Photo galleries. This will probably start as a means of gaining fame (but no fortune whatsoever) by submitting your holiday snaps, although we are very happy to act as a showcase and possible online ordering facility for professional photographers.

Commentaries from major ski resorts, updated daily to weekly (depending how conscientious our reporters are) you can see how the snow, weather, skiing and apres-ski progress through the season. We shall be recruiting people to produce these reports next season, so if you're going to be spending some time in a resort next season and want some fame and beer money, get in touch.
